Our Services
Floor Restore Waikato is different from other floor sanding companies in that we focus exclusively on wooden floors, which makes us the timber-only specialists. This leads to a higher degree of precision and detail, especially when it comes to fixing split boards, gluing joins, repair work and dust free coatings. Other companies use their equipment for concrete grinding which is abrasive, clogs vacuum filters and can cause cross contamination. We use only premium, commercial finishes suitable for both residential and heavy-traffic applications. Your floor is not just about a sand & coat, there are many additional processes required to obtain superior results. Here is a list of services you should be asking your floor sander to make sure you get a high-quality job that will last.

Water-based Polyurethanes

Light foot traffic in 6-8 hours.

Solvent-based Polyurethanes
If you require your floor to have the most durability, protection & longevity then this is the product you need:
-
Has a smoother, self-leveling, enamel like finish.
-
Twice as thick as a water-based polyurethane.
-
Applied with a wallpaper brush, gets into all the joins to help glue the tongue & groove boards together.
-
Limits any cracking, edge separation and can help stop squeaking boards.
-
Excellent abrasion & chemical resistance.
-
More resistant to perishing from direct sunlight.
-
Better for reducing dog claw scratches.
